i rode my bike everywhere today!!

gerrit would be so proud of me if he read this blog and knew. but he has more interesting things to do than read blogs. perhaps i will tell him about my biking when i call him obnoxiously tonight (like i do every night and will continue to do until i get very busy or he gets pissed off and yells at me to stop :p ).

i also auditioned for a play: Pirandello’s Henry IV, in a new adaptation by Tom Stoppard. the synopsis looked good, although i'm not really that sure what the play is about. there are only two female roles though and about 50 people auditioning, so my chances of being cast are pretty small. maybe they will take pitty on me because i'm probably the only grad student to audition for a show ever. stupid undergrads. (no offense to undergrads who are not at yale. you guys are cool. the undergrads here are annoying, mostly because i'm a grad student)

tonight is the "party in the tent" where i can't drink, followed by the afterparty at gryphon's pub at GPSCY, where i also can't drink. stupid mono go away.

but yay hooray, i'm going to see the killers with miklos at jones beach on long island sept 30!!!!!! woohoo aren't you all jealous! and then i will spend the weekend in nyc with him. and then maybe we will go see franz ferdinand in central park on oct 16 or 17 (i can't remember which). ooooo you are jealous again!!! i win by moving to a city closer to a city with good concerts! ha!! i also get to see better than ezra and the decemberists in october at a place 15 minutes from where i live! also awesome and more jealousy!! but don't be too jealous because anyone is welcome to visit as long as you warn me.

classes continue to be easy and stupid and redundant. my meetings with professors went well too. soon i have to pick a rotation lab. and by soon i mean in three weeks.

some sad news: the cable deal that gave us all the good channels for the first month is now over so no more food network or adult swim for me. sadness. so you will all have to buy me all the seasons of futurama and the simpsons on dvd for my birthday which is soonish. but start thinking about buying me presents now!!
